Anna Demina, Modern artist / 2024

In her works, Anna Demina recreates various states of nature, in tune with the inner feelings and moods of a person. The artist refuses details, focusing on the nuances of light and color spots, each of which has its own meaning. 

Anna introduces the formula of a lyrical landscape into her art, connecting the image with the word. Her landscapes convey not real views, but a person’s sensory experience of contemplating nature. Thus, the artist paints not the dawn itself, but the expectation of dawn through the eyes of a person. The key to understanding each painting is encrypted in its title, lines from poetry and Anna's notes. «I see the role of the artist as a metronome who captures the subtlest states of the human soul through the depth of perception of nature. For me, a landscape is not an actual cast of the area, but an opportunity to experience reality with all one’s being», Anna shared.
